|¼ cup||salted butter, softened|
|1 clove||garlic, finely chopped|
|1 pinch||Italian seasoning|
|8 slices||crusty sourdough bread|
|16 slices||Borden® American Melts|
|8 slices||beefsteak tomato|
|8 slices||smoked ham|
|8 slices||bacon, cooked crisp|
COMBINE the butter, garlic and Italian seasoning in a small bowl and blend well.
SPREAD a thin layer of garlic butter on 1 side of 4 slices of bread. Place the bread butter side down on a cutting board. Top each slice with 2 slices of American cheese, 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of bacon, 2 more slices of cheese and another slice of bread. Spread the tops of the sandwiches with the remaining garlic butter.
HEAT a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Place the 4 sandwiches in the skillet and cook covered, for 2 to 3 minutes or until the bread browns. Turn over and cook for another 2 minutes or until the bread browns and the cheese has melted. Slice in half and serve immediately.
